Monitor
- Creatinine and the trifecta: NSAID + ACE/ARB + diuretic = AKI recipe
- Ketorolac: 5-day maximum, renally cautious — flag day 6
- Bleeding risk stacked with anticoagulants/steroids
- Often the hidden culprit behind rising creatinine — check home OTC use
🎓 Patient teaching
Take with food. Don't stack with other OTC NSAIDs (many cold medicines contain them). Kidney, heart, and ulcer patients: ask before using at all.
